It's not the license key. Go to the dashboard. In dashboard page on left side you can see tools. Select tools. In tools page you can see License Key for Ios, Android etc... Copy that and paste in the position of value. name is JW_LICENSE_KEY

As happy as I was that jwPlayer 7 is using a compatible format in their js file, I'm currently working with a setup including require.js and I'm getting a player on my site but it shows "Error setting up player: Missing license key".

The alias jwplayer points to the original player script downloaded from my account dashboard that initializes/returns the jwplayer object.The file behind initJwplayer contains the init of the BackgroundJwPlayer object and calling the init function on this will set up the player.

jwplayer.key="CKjOe06GxAOe3Dj9NaWPCQKtqvqQdyFV8z9wsg=="; jwplayer("streamrootPlayer").setup( playlist : [ // PLACE YOUR MANIFEST URL HERE file: " _720p_dash.mpd", type: "video/dash" , // MP4 VOD Stream - fallback for old browsers and devices file: " -640.mp4", type: "video/mp4" ], logo: hide: true, file: "" , autostart: 1, streamrootplayer: " ", srflashplayer : " ", sr_options: ID_CLIENT : "ry-1t3stst12", DEBUG: true );

There is no free license for developers for Jwplayer. You have to pay $30 for the Developer/Content Creator license: _source=developer&utm_medium=CTA&utm_campaign=developer-homepage-get-started

If you have a reason to use jwplayer for commercial purposes, in that you are going to use one of their plugins, or their ad serving network, then it makes sense, but at the end of the day, with HTML5 doing so much of the heavy lifting now, many people are using things like VideoJS.

Following the launch of JW8 in October 2017, self-hosting the HTML5 player is now only available to Enterprise customers. If you are an Enterprise customer, you should be able to access your license key in your JW Player account.

HLS streaming and MPEG-DASH require a yearly JW Player Premium license of $299 at this time of writing.HLS streaming was already supported in the Premium version of JW Player 6, but this method is actually quite problematic as not all Android devices support it properly. JW Player believes, or rather hopes, that MPEG-DASH will replace HLS and RTMP streaming in the future. This remains to be seen, of course, but a fact is that MPEG-DASH is gaining support, although not supported on all browsers yet.HLS adaptive streaming will replace RTMP streaming quite soon(see also Flash support in Google Chrome under fire).

Filling in the JW Player 7 license key is required from now on, otherwise the player shows an error message. JW Player Pro/Premium 6 license key does not work with version 7. You have to create an account on jwplayer.com in order to get the free license key for JW Player 7, and add the following in the header of your page(s):

JWPlayer is my favorite video player, so I was kind of bummed that there wasn'tany real extension/widget created yet. I did find one, however it was out-datedand didn't work very well. The player was out of date, it didn't have any errorhandling, and didn't have any global config options. You had to specify yourlicense key every single time you use the widget.
